Full Range Bodywork
From Pain Management to Resilience
Structural bodywork that reorganizes the body so health becomes possible.
“Kurt Baker was the only practitioner I found who was able to provide relief from my pain.”
— Sara Fowler, Albion CA
"After several months of constant left shoulder and neck pain, I heard of Kurt and decided to schedule a session. After 3 visits, I’m almost back to normal. Kurt is very knowledgeable and provides great info on how to continue therapy at home. I can’t recommend him enough!"
—Karin Kamb, Mendocino, CA
How My Work Is Structured
I help people who are stuck between managing pain and real recovery reorganize their body so health becomes possible.
This is not symptom-chasing or “quick fix” bodywork. It’s a structured process that restores coherence—so the body can move, adapt, and heal more naturally.
The Core Idea: Coherence Creates Relief
Most persistent pain and limitation aren’t caused by one tight muscle or one “bad” joint.
They tend to come from lost coherence—when structure, movement, and perception stop working well together.
My work focuses on restoring that coherence.
When the system reorganizes, the conditions for health often emerge: less strain, better alignment, easier movement, and more resilience.
The Container: Progressive Reorganization
You can book single sessions, but the heart of my work is a multi-session, initiatory process.
Lasting change usually requires time for the nervous system and tissues to integrate what’s shifting. Over a series we can:
Address long-standing patterns (not just flare-ups)
Build stability instead of chasing temporary relief
Create an arc from compensation → function → health
Ways to Work Together
Neuro-Structural Reset (Single Session)
A clothes-on, full-body session focused on:
Releasing excessive muscular contraction
Improving joint freedom and alignment
Reducing strain patterns that drive pain
Best for: targeted support, getting “unstuck,” or exploring this work before committing to a longer process.
Body Therapy Series (Foundational Work)
A structured, multi-session process informed by Structural Integration, movement education, and somatic awareness.
Focus areas include:
Reorganizing posture and movement habits
Working with stress, old injuries, and protective holding patterns
Teaching your system how to maintain change between sessions
Best for: people seeking real recovery, improved function, and a stronger foundation for long-term health.
What This Work Is (and Isn’t)
This work is:
Collaborative and responsive
Oriented toward long-term change
Grounded in anatomy, structure, and lived experience
This work is not:
Relaxation massage
A substitute for acute injury care or medical treatment
A quick fix for severe or unstable conditions
When appropriate, I’m happy to collaborate with physical therapists or medical providers.
The Aim
The goal is not perfection.
The goal is a body that moves with less effort, responds instead of compensates, and supports your life rather than limiting it.
Health isn’t imposed from the outside.
It tends to emerge when the system is organized well enough to sustain itself.
Optional add-ons (pick what fits your site)
Not sure where to start? Book a Neuro-Structural Reset first, then we’ll decide together if a longer series makes sense.
If you’re dealing with complex or severe pain, I’ll help you determine whether this work is appropriate and—if needed—recommend additional support.
Kurt Baker is one of, if not THE, best body workers on the north coast.

What Clients Are Saying
“After doing the 10 sessions, I’m now able to feel the line of gravity. There’s a feeling of weightlessness and freedom in my movements. I have an awareness now that I didn’t have before. I’m able to dance again”
“After four plus months of unrelenting, scary, intense pain, with visits to three doctors, two MRIs, Xrays, physical therapy, osteopathic manipulation and finally a diagnosis of trapezius spasm… Kurt Baker was the only practitioner I found who was able to provide relief from my pain. After the very first treatment there was a shift in the pain, it was less acute and less specific, but I procrastinated about going back because, to be honest, some of the treatment is intense. Once I went back for three more treatments, my pain level has returned to where it was before this all started (I should note that I am 74 and have had fibromyalgia syndrome for 38 years, so I am never pain free). Kurt’s treatments definitely relieved the acute trapezius spasm pain and I am hopeful that it never comes back. In the meantime, I intend to see Kurt for a general tune-up from time to time, and highly recommend him as help for other people with joint, muscle, or connective tissue pain issues.”
“I’ve had Kurt working on me for the last several months. I’m in my 70’s and find bodywork to be key in maintaining flexibility. Kurt is very sensitive to finding and treating your specific problem areas. He also discovers those places in your body which you might not be aware of, but are really the source of many problems. I highly recommend Kurt.”
“I have lived 40 years in severe pain. I have had extensive therapy over the years to realign my body. I have cervical, thoracic, lumbar & sacral issues. I moved here away from my body work therapist 3 years ago, I knew I needed help. Not any Spa Massage. I knew I needed realignment through manipulation of my muscular skeletal system. Kurt Baker has been by far the most beneficial help for me. He is professional, always on time and has helped in giving me back my life. He provides exercises to help me keep aligned and his fee is very reasonable. I think he has gained a lot of wisdom from the training he has had and I am very impressed
with his skill.”
